Is this scientific?
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Vedic astrology is a centuries-old traditional practice, not an empirically validated science. We offer it as a gentle lens for reflection — some families find real value in it, others enjoy it as a nice piece of writing about their child and leave it there. Either reaction is completely reasonable.
Do you predict my child's future or career?
No, deliberately not. The "natural direction" section names a few broad areas that tend to fit a given pattern, but it's explicitly framed as possibility, not prediction — what your child actually becomes is theirs to choose, shaped far more by their own curiosity, effort, and the people around them than by a chart.
What if I don't believe in astrology at all?
That's fine, genuinely. Read it the way you'd read a thoughtfully written personality reflection — take what resonates, ignore what doesn't. We've deliberately avoided fear-based or definitive language for exactly this reason.
What do you do with my child's birth details?
They're used only to calculate the chart for this reading. We don't sell or share this data, and there's no account or login required for the free reading.
What's the difference between the two paid tiers?
The Guiding Stars Reading ($25) is the complete personalized learning pathway — a direct answer to the real decision you're facing (if you tell us what it is on the intake form), subjects, natural direction, a life-chapter timeline, ideal learning environment, and a weekly rhythm. The Complete Constellation Reading ($35) includes all of that plus a ranked career deep-dive across every field the chart speaks to, and gentle, traditional remedies personalized to your child's chart (simple, low-cost ideas only — never gemstones, never prescriptive). Already bought the first and want the extras later? That upgrade is $15, not the full $35.
Is this a subscription?
No. Every purchase is a one-time payment for that child's reading, and there's no recurring charge, ever — that includes the optional, password-free My Readings page, which only groups readings you've already paid for.
What is My Readings, and do I have to use it?
It's entirely optional. If you add your email when you create a reading, that reading (and any others you add the same email to) will show up together at My Readings — no password, ever; just a link we email you when you ask for one. Skip it entirely and everything still works exactly as before: each reading lives at its own private, shareable link.
Is there a discount for siblings?
Yes — 15% off, applied automatically. If you add the same email to a second (or further) child's reading that you added to an earlier paid one, the discount shows up on that child's own pricing page and at checkout, with no code to remember. It's optional (see My Readings above) and only ever discounts a real second purchase, never a fake one.
Why is my child's sign here different from what I already know (or read elsewhere)?
Because this uses a different, older reference point than the horoscope column or app you're used to — not because either one is wrong. Most everyday astrology (newspaper horoscopes, sun-sign apps) uses the tropical zodiac, which is anchored to the seasons: 0° Aries is always the spring equinox, wherever the actual stars happen to be that year. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac instead, anchored to the real, fixed background stars. Because Earth wobbles very slowly on its axis over thousands of years (a real, measured astronomical effect called precession), those two reference points have drifted about 24° apart today — enough that a placement often lands in the sign just before the one a tropical chart would give it (a tropical Sun in Aries, for example, is very often a sidereal Sun in Pisces). This site always uses the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa — the standard most traditional Vedic astrology is built on — consistently, for every placement in every reading; see the "What 'real' actually means here" section on our about page for the full technical detail.
I don't know my child's exact birth time — can I still get a reading?
Yes. Check "I'm not sure" on the time field and we'll use a midday estimate. The broader picture (sign-level guidance) stays accurate; a handful of finer details can shift slightly without an exact time.
Can I get a refund?
If something's genuinely wrong — a technical issue, or the reading wasn't generated correctly — email contact@littlestargazer.com and we'll make it right. Because it's a digital reading you can view in full immediately after purchase, we don't offer refunds for change of mind. This doesn't affect any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Can I buy this as a gift?
Yes — check "this is a gift" on the intake form and the reading is written with that framing. Since there's no login, the reading link itself is yours to share with whoever it's for.
